PRESENTATION DES CLASSES POLONAISES

Mercredi 16 Février 2011

Nos amis polonais de Trzebinia nous présentent plusieurs classes qui participent au projet Comenius.
Voici les lettres de quatre classes ainsi que les vidéos.

Hello dear Comenius partners,
We’re very happy to work with you on this marvelous Project. We would like to introduce ourselves to you. Primary School number 8 in Trzebinia was build in 1993 in the centre of a big residential area called ZWM, you can see the building in this picture.
The school received the name of a great Pole, the pope John Paul 2nd at a ceremony arranged after 5 years of its existence in 1998. Here you can see a commemorative plaque that was placed in our hall and our school banner.
Our school teaches children from year 0 to year 6.
Class 0 is for 6 year olds and it’s a kind of preparatory class, to show the children how to behave at school and how to work in a group.
Classes 1-3 are called early teaching and they are taught by one teacher, except for English and Religion classes. We have 2 groups in year 1(1a and 1b), three groups in year 2 (2a, 2b and 2c) and three groups in year 3 (3a, 3b and 3c).
Classes 4-6 are taught by many teachers and they learn subjects like: Polish, Mathematics, History, Science, ICT, Technology, Art, Music, PE, Religion and English. Each class has its own tutor – a teacher that takes care of them and contacts with their parents. We’ve got 3 groups in year 4 (4a, 4b and 4c), two groups in year 5 (5a and 5b) and three groups in year 6 (6a, 6b and 6c). Some of our classes are integrative – it means that there are some disabled students in the group, and therefore they are taught by two teachers.
And this is how our children look like in their school uniforms, national costumes and when doing sports:
Not all of the classes will take active part in the project, we chose some of them to prepare the letters and videos for you, but all our students will have the opportunity to see the results of our work and of course all the materials you will send us.
In the attached materials you will find the presentations of all the classes taking active part in the project, namely:
Class 2c that is taught by Mrs Beata Wrońska-Babecka
Class 3a with their teacher Mrs Barbara Adamczyk
Class 3b together with Mrs Teresa Wojas
Class 4b and their tutor and Polish teacher Mrs Agata Matonóg
Class 4c with Polish teacher Mrs Agata Mazur
Class 5b and their tutor and disabled children assistant Mrs Iwona Jakóbik
Other teachers that help with the project are:
Mrs Ilona Ptak – our headteacher
Mrs Ewa Musiał – deputy headteacher
Mrs Bożena Buzdygan – Polish teacher
Mrs Iwona Molikiewicz – our librarian
Mr Maciej Mierniczek – ICT teacher
Mrs Teresa Kotela – English teacher
Mrs Edyta Poręba – Art and Music teacher
And me, Anna Wasyl-Wentrys – English teacher and project coordinator.
You can see us all at this picture together with the rest of our team, that do not take part in the project, but are very willing to see its results and support us if needed.
On the attached CD you will find all the presentations in pdf files to give you the opportunity to print out more copies or to show them on your websites. There is also a simple Polish folk song about animals together with its lyrics and music - try to sing it with your students.
Our film is not ready yet, but we’re working hard to finish it and send you, its great fun.
Greetings from Poland.
Teachers and students of Primary School No 8 in Trzebinia

Dear friends!
At the beginning of our letter we’d like to greet you and introduce ourselves. We go to John Paul 2nd Primary School No 8 in Trzebinia. Trzebinia is a little town near Cracow in the malopolskie province.
We are the pupils of the 4b class. Since September our teacher is Ms Agata Matonóg and in years 1-3 Ms Lidia Śmiłek looked after us. In our school it is very nice and everyone is very friendly. We take care of the school to make it clean and colourful. We have good teachers, who are nice, joyful and fair for us. To tell the truth we can spend all day at our school because we’ve got our canteen, day room, library and many additional classes.
Our favourite subjects are PE, IT and maths. At our PE classes we can use one of the three gyms that are at our school, we also have a complex of sports fields next to the school. Each of us has got many friends, boys and girls. Together we go to the swimming pool and we take part in sports competitions. We also go for schooltrips and we learn about nature and environment. Before the summer holiday we were at a “green school” in Jastrzębia Góra at the Baltic Sea. Far from our homes and parents we learned but also rested and visited the Polish seacoast.
We like our school very much and we are very interested in the students’ life of our contemporaries in the schools abroad. We send you best wishes.
Students of the 4b class

Hello, how are you!
We are the students of the 4c class at primary school, which is named after the pope John Paul the 2nd . The majority of our group are girls, boys are unfortunately in minority.
The girls love dance, karaoke, riding bikes and roller skates and the boys prefer football, extreme sports and especially the skate park in Chrzanów. They also like computer games, Metin2, Call of Duty and PES 2009 are their favorites.
Our class is a very good team and we like to help each other. We look after the Historical study, where there are lots of unusual exhibits, some of them very old. We spend a lot of time there.
Our school is very fun, the teachers are nice and care about us. We like to be here.
We would like to meet you very much. We greet you very cordially from Poland.
14 girls and 9 boys from class 4c

Hello!
We are Poles and we come from a small town Trzebinia, which is located close to the royal city of Krakow. We attend the 5b class at the Primary School No. 8, named after Pope John Paul the 2nd .
Our school is very big and modern. Sunny classes and labs are very well equipped. In our class there are 25 students – 14 girls and 11 boys. We are a good team. There are occasional small disagreements, but we solve them very quickly. Thanks to the fact that we are cooperative and friendly we go to school willingly.
The whole class creates a vocal - instrumental team called "Gracja". At additional classes we play different musical instruments, we learn many songs, and we develop our interests and abilities. We participate in various competitions and win awards and recognitions.
Most students do sports, and achieve high academic performance. Once a week we have the opportunity to participate in activities at the city swimming pool. In addition to learning, we also have time for ourselves and our colleagues, with whom we spend breaks and free afternoons in many interesting ways, such as playing soccer.
Our teachers are demanding, but very nice. Our teacher Iwona organizes for us interesting excursions, walks and other activities. Recently we had a bonfire with roasted sausages - it was very nice. Together we had a very good time.
We are all like one big family. We support each other, and when someone has problems in learning, we help each other.
We would like to meet students from other countries, and most of us have prepared some information about ourselves. We are very willing to make new friends. Greetings.
